Olivia Noss’ work situates itself comfortably between something reminiscent of documentary photography and fashion. She has a perspective which appears to always be on the lookout for unexpected moments while effortlessly paying attention to personal style. Neither notion ever feels heavy handed or forced and as a result her images contains an honesty which feels true to her but somewhat mysterious for the viewer. There is something knowing about the images in their straightforward approach while maintaining a certain quality which keep the viewer interested in an attempt to fill in the blanks.
